Gun Raffle The post held the drawing for our first ever gun raffle on November 15. The first-place winner of a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm is Tom Hill of Munster. The second-place winner of a Taurus SS .38 Special is Jacob Tuckaway of Crete, IL, and the third-place winner of a Ruger 10/22 Rifle is John Banaszak of Munster. Tom said, of his winnings, that he will accept a gift card at Cabella's instead of his 9mm win.

Flag Education  Guy Seydel is pleased to announce the Post's winners of the Flag Education & Etiquette Scholarship Program. There were 303 4th-graders that took the flag education test in November. From Ernest R. Elliot Elementary School, the awards went to Jack Foreit and Maddison Snow Prosk Clousing. From Frank H. Hammond Elementary School, the awards went to Ethan Loredo and Risha Panigrahi. From James B. Eads Elementary School, the awards went to
Colin Sinder and Helena Spencer. And from St. Thomas More School, the awards went to
Daniel Reynolds and Madeleine Miller. The overall winners from the post were Ethan Loredo and Risha Panigrahi and advanced to the District competition.

Dues Membership dues are $45 per year.  Dues notices for 2019 have been sent.  You may pay online, or purchase a Paid Up For Life membership.  You may also bring your dues to the meeting.

Honor Flight Chicago is sending World War II veterans to the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. for a day of honor.  They run 7 flights per year from Chicago's Midway airport, monthly from April through October, each with about 100 veterans aboard.  Korean War era veterans were also added in 2016.  Munster Post 16 is interested in getting applications in for WWII and Korean War veterans, for their day of honor.
